Even though most of his customers have never navigated a kayak before, John McGrath says that does not deter Cape residents and visitors from grabbing a paddle, hitting the water, and occasionally coming back for seconds. “Folks from all over the world can see a different side of the Cape from a kayak,” says McGrath, the owner of the Chatham Kayak Company. ” Just last week I had an Irish couple come out for a tour on the Oyster River.
